Michael Donovan: @themichaeldonovan
Michael Donovan is a prolific multi-disciplined artist born in Spokane, WA.
Donovan uses visual art and a podcast to communicate his interests in the "Two Great Bookends of Life," (sex and death) as well as the exciting content that fills our experience. His work trains his eye on spirituality, intersections of culture mashups, materialism, youth, aging, objectification, mental health, environmentalism, and the confusion and joys we develop from living a life wandering through interesting times.
Michael's photography and video work uses strong visceral, raw, bold imagery with dark and moody undertones. The work ranges from conceptual fashion art, to simpler lifestyle, but always has his personal twist. Magazines such as Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Elle, Marie Claire, Playboy, L'Officiel, Ginza, Vision, Wonderland, and others have used his work to communicate with their audiences. Clients include Interscope, Sony, The Pierre Hotel and Gap.
MD's weekly podcast, Walking Home, features a range of guests talking through their understanding and experiences in human dualism. His guests come from diverse backgrounds in science, art, fashion, buddhism, philosophy, sex work, comedy, experimentation, and life. His podcast was recently selected to join the MindPod Network alongside some of the most esteemed Buddhist and spiritual teachers in the West.
Michael Donovan is self taught, learning from curiosity. He lives in NYC and is available for both domestic and international projects.
